Next book in the Prophets Sent by Allah Series: Musa (alayhi salam)

Assalamu alaikum,

The next book I'd like to do a lesson plan for in the Prophets sent by Allah Series is the book about Prophet Musa (alayhi salam).

Right now I'm introducing the Arabic alphabet but I know that many of your children are past this stage alhamdulillah so I wanted to collaborate with you all to see what you would like to see so I can possibly make the lesson plan multi-age appropriate insha'Allah.

Please leave a comment if there are certain aspects you'd like to see covered in this lesson plan insha'Allah, and/or you have ideas you'd like to share with others insha'Allah. I'll be sure to list where each idea came from insha'Allah (and link to your blog if you have one). I will also try to make as many of the activities (files) as I can, black and white *smile*.

Jazakum Allahu Khayran

I would like you to include may be not only for Musa alaihissalaam but for all the other Prophets, a bit of geography. This could be beneficial for all levels Insha Allaah. Actually I was planning to take good use of this book "Atlas of the Qur'aan. (http://store.dar-us-salam.com/BT/Q19.html). We want to take Maimoonah Insha Allaah to these places since we are in the middle east, so knowing in advance will be an advantage Insha Allaah.

And may be you can come up with some ideas for younger children too Insha Allaah.

This just occurred to me, anything more will let you know Insha Allaah.

May Allaah reward you for the efforts and please do not bother to give me any credits or link to my blog my dear sister, just do it Insha Allaah.

    Barakallaah Feeki

I have four of these books but my children were never interested in them. I found the text and story plain. I bet you will come up with a great lesson which will help us use this book better! Masha'Allah your work is fantastic.

  4. As Salaamu Alaykum,
I would love to see the lesson plan for this, insha Allah. I have this book, masha Allah. I love these books, although I usually reword them a bit when reading to the little ones. Maybe an activity could be something about the love of a mother for her child? Another idea, I know our children are young, but myself I have some olders like 3 & 5 as well. perhaps we can start a bit geography in the lesson and introduce Egypt? Find a pic of Egypt and then make a line through it calling that the Nile river? I will get back to you if I come up with anymore ideas. These just rolled of my head as I was writing. I just love all you do for us dear sis! Jazakallahu Khair! *hugs*
We have to catch up! insha Allah.

  5. Waalaikum assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barkatuh,

Sis Zein, this is the comment that I have heard more than once about these books subhana'Allah. I found that when I read the story of Hud along with the activities, the book was brought back to me many times walhamdulillah, to be re-read and the activities were brought with the book.

For the story of Musa -alayhi salam - I will try to do more art related activities to help bring the story to life as they say...hehe..

Alhamdulillah, the story of Hud was really enjoyed so let's see what we can all come up with for the story of Musa insha'Allah.

Sis Umm Abdul Basir, yes, this is the same idea that sis Umm Maimoonah had about the geography masha'Allah. I will definately put that in the lesson plan biithnillah. Let your ideas keep rolling!...lol...they are wonderful masha'Allah!
